The 2020 International Congress of Dietetics (ICD) is taking place in Cape Town, South Africa on 15-18 September. Held every four years, the ICD showcases the very latest developments in dietetic research and practice from around the world. It represents an excellent opportunity for UK Dietitians to present their work on the international stage.
The GET Trustees have therefore agreed to ringfence funds to support at least five members looking to present their research at the conference. Grants will be up to £1000 per person can be used to cover the cost of attendance, including flights, accommodation and registration.
Successful applicants will be presenting on dietetic research or professional practice, making a contribution to the development of knowledge around the science of dietetics. Grants will initially be awarded provisionally in February, on the condition of acceptance of an abstract.

The ringfenced funds to support attendence have been carried over to 2021. As such, we are unable to offer further funding for attending ICD at this stage.
