Clodagh Hackett
Clodagh is an experienced Dietitian working within both the NHS, private hospitals and the private sector since 2010. She initially obtained a BSc (Hons) in Anatomy and Microbiology at The National University of Ireland Galway before completing a further BSc (Hons) in Dietetics at the University of Plymouth.
During her extensive career she has developed a variety of skills in a number of clinical areas, however she has a particular interest and experience in the areas of Gastroenterology, Digestive health and Oncology, providing advice on:
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)-Accredited in delivering Low FODMAP Dietary advice
- Inflammatory Bowel Disease-Crohn's Disease/Ulcerative Colitis –Accredited in advising on the CDED diet
- Coeliac disease
- Diverticular disease
- Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic cancer/insufficiency
- Short bowel- Ileostomy/Colostomy dietary advice
Clodagh has also developed an interest in the area of Histamine intolerance, Mast cell activation syndrome and EDS. She works closely with specialist consultants and Neurogastroenterologists in this area, providing specialist advice on low Histamine diets and how to manage.
