I have over 17 years of experience as a dietitian, sharing my work between the NHS and my private practice and over the years I have worked in the various areas of dietetics and have been part of the NHS and commercial clinical and research teams in developing lifestyle programs for pre-diabetes, diabetes prevention and reversal. My specialist dietetic clinical expertise are in diabetes (both Type 1 and Type 2) with special interest in technologies like pumps and glucose sensors, gestational diabetes, PCOS as well as weight management and digestive diseases (IBS, including Low FODMAP diets; Coeliac Disease). As freelance dietitian I work with individual patients as well as consult commercial companies on dietary content development for their digital health technologies.
I am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), I am a member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA), Diabetes UK and Freelance Dietitians Group.
I appreciate the difficulty my clients face when trying to make permanent lifestyle and dietary changes therefore, in addition to my clinical training to achieve Masters Degree in Dietetics, I have completed additional training in behavioural sciences: I am an accredited Neuro-Linguistic Programming practitioner, a trained in hypnotherapy and have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
I am a caring and non-judgmental practitioner and support my clients on each step of their treatment journey.
